Fifteen-year-old István lives with his mother in a small Hungarian town. When a relationship with an older woman draws him into a world he barely understands, the consequences will shape the rest of his life. Years later, István finds himself moving through vastly different worlds—from military service to the circles of immense wealth in London.

As his life unfolds across borders and decades, ambition, loneliness, and desire propel him forward. Flesh traces the unpredictable path of a man whose life is marked by moments of opportunity and loss, revealing how class, power, and personal choices intertwine in the modern world.
